• As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance our customers’ viewing experience and delight them with nail-biting movies for their festive viewing, MultiChoice is proud to announce the launch of BLK All Starts pop up channel on DStv Channel 111 and GOtv channel 29/129/329. 
• BLK All Starts is an 18-hour Action movie pop up channel that will be a new home for action lovers for 19 days. 
• From Thursday, 15 December 2022 until 02 January 2023, viewers from across our markets will be able to enjoy a variety of fun and exciting movies on our DStv and GOtv platforms.
• We are continuously looking for ways to find and develop the right mix of content and value propositions and deliver it to people from different walks of life with different viewing interests.

• What is BLK All Stars?

BLK All Stars is an 18-hour uninterrupted movie pop up channel; it will be a new home for action and comedy lovers for 19 days. This pop-up channel brings our customers action-packed, nail-biting modern movie classics from some of the world’s most-loved leading men.

• Why is MultiChoice launching this pop-up channel?

It is in line with our commitment and ongoing efforts to enhance our customers’ television experience and delight them with content that resonates with them. While also enriching their viewing pleasure with a vast selection of content to choose from.  

• When will the BLK All Stars Channel be live?

The Channel will be live on DStv Channel 111 and GOtv channel 29/129/329 from 15 December 2022 until 02 January 2022.

• What content will I find on this channel?

Some of the films to enjoy on the channel include, but are not limited to: 

1. Enemy of the state: Directed by Tony Scott and starring award winning Will Smith, a videotape containing footage of congressman Phil Hammersley's murder is planted on a lawyer, Robert Dean. Government operatives, who are trying to retrieve the evidence, target him.
2. Training Day: Detective Alonzo (Academy award winner for Best Actor Denzel Washington), a senior narcotics officer, must train Jake Hoyt (Golden Globe Award winner Ethan Hawke) during the course of a day. However, Hoyt learns that Alonzo's methods are not ethical, and he soon realises that he is being trapped.
3. Deep Blue Sea: Horror film directed by. Renny Harlin, it stars Samuel L. Jackson, LL Cool and Saffron Burrows. Set in an isolated underwater facility, the film follows a team of scientists and their research on Mako shark to help fight Alzheimer’s disease. The situation plunges into chaos when multiple genetically engineered sharks go on a rampage and flood the facility.
4. Rush Hour 3: A buddy cop modern classic starring Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan. In this instalment, the undercover detectives head to Paris after an attack on the Chinese ambassador. Reunited, the two must track down a dangerous gang while avoiding ghosts from the past. Described by some critics as “highly entertaining”, the film grossed over $250 million at the box office.

BLK All Stars will be available on DStv Premium, DStv Compact Plus, DStv Compact and GOtv Supa. For only UGX 25,000 more per month, DStv Family and DStv Access subscribers can get M-Net Movies 1 and 2, as well as the All-Stars popup channel as part of their bouquet offering.

• How many hours of content can I expect from this channel?

This new channel will run for 18 hours daily.

• Will BLK All Stars be available in all markets?

Yes, it will be available to DStv and GOtv customers who subscribe to the applicable packages mentioned above.
