In addition to the tiered voting on the apps, mobile and website for BBNaija S7, active subscribers can now earn additional votes for their favorite housemates. How? By simply playing games on the MyDStv and MyGOtv apps. Now how exciting is that!

How to play

Players must be registered MyDStv or MyGOtv mobile app users to play the quizzes

There are 3 categories of games that active subscribers can play. They are: Choose the correct answer,

True or False and Did You Know?

The Choose the Correct Answer and True or False categories have points allocated to them BUT the Did You Know category has no point allocated to it
The 2 point-earning categories (which are: Choose the Correct Answer and True or False) have 10 questions each and each question carries 10 points

The points are equivalent to votes. So, each question carries 10 votes.
This means that each of the point-earning categories have 100 points (votes)
For every correct answer, players will be allocated 10 points each

Points are then converted to additional votes and allocated to each subscriber in each voting round.
Players have a maximum of 200 additional votes to earn if they play in the 2 point- earning categories and 100 additional votes to earn if they play in only 1 point-earning category.
Whatever additional points/votes they earn, is now added to the votes from the already existing tiered voting

The Player is required to choose the correct answer from the provided options. Each correct answer awards the player 10 points.

This game is worth 100 points once completed.

True or False

The True or False quiz is based on the activities that took place at the BBN house. Each correct answer is awarded 10 points.

This game is worth 100 points once completed.

Did you know?

The Player is not awarded any points for this option. It simply provides the player with fun facts and history about past BBN shows.

Q: How do I vote for my favourite housemate on Big Brother Nigeria?

A: You may vote via the Mobile site, Website, and the MyDStv/MyGOtv App only.

Website / Mobile site - You may vote for your favourite housemate via the Africa Magic website or mobile site on africamagic.tv/bigbrother

MyDStv/MyGotv App - You may vote for your favourite housemate via the MyDStv/MyGotv App if you are an active DStv subscriber in selected countries with an eligible package only.

Q: How can I unlock additional votes via Games?

A: To unlock additional votes via Games, you must play the available games during an active vote round.

Q: How many additional votes can I unlock via Games?

A: The True or False and Choose the Correct Answer games each have a maximum of 10 questions to answer and each question is valued at 10 votes.

Q: How do I redeem my additional Gaming votes?

A: After playing all or any one of these games, your vote allocation will be revealed, and you can redeem your votes by clicking the vote now button.

Q: When will voting open and close?

A: Voting will open every Monday night after the nomination show at 20:00 (WAT)/ 21:00 (CAT) and will close on Thursdays at 21:00 (WAT) / 22:00 (CAT).

Q: How many times can I vote on each platform?

A: You can vote 100 times on the Mobile site and Website. If you are a DStv subscriber with an eligible package in the selected countries and have the MyDStv or MyGOtv App, you can vote based on your package. Below are eligible packages:

A: No, you must activate your subscription and be on an eligible package to be able to receive additional votes to vote for your favourite housemate(s).

Q: I have more than one package with DStv, can I vote with all of my packages?

A: If you have a single mobile number that is linked to multiple packages, then the highest available package is the one you will be able to vote with i.e. if you have both Compact and Premium packages, the highest package available is Premium. Therefore, the Premium package will be assigned votes to.

Q: I want to vote with both of my DStv packages, what can I do?

A: You can register each smartcard number/ package on the vote page on the Africa Magic vote page africamagic.tv/bigbrother separately with a unique mobile number, which can be verified via OTP.

Q: I have registered on the voting page, but I haven't received an OTP SMS, what can I do? A: If you are not receiving OTP messages, it most likely means that your phone number is on the DND (Do Not Disturb) list. This means you will no longer receive notifications from your services. You will need to unsubscribe from the DND by:

texting STOP to 2442, then
text ALLOW to 2442 to start receiving bulk SMS.

If after texting ALLOW to 2442, you are still not receiving third-party SMS, you might have to contact your telecommunication provider.

Q: How many times can I vote for one housemate?

A: You can vote 100 times on the Mobile site and Website. If you are a DStv or GOtv subscriber with an eligible package in the selected countries and have the MyDStv or MyGOtv App, you can vote based on your package.

Q: Can I vote for multiple housemates?

A: You can vote for anyone you like each week and use your allocated votes per platform every week as you wish.

Q: Which platforms are free?

A: Voting is free (Data costs apply) on the website, mobile site, and on the MyDStv or MyGOtv App.

Q: Will I get a notification when my vote has been received?

A: On the website, mobile site and on the MyDStv or MyGOtv App, you will see a little countdown from 100 to one which indicates that your vote has been received.

Voting on the MyDStv and MyGOtv App is open to active DStv/GOtv subscribers in selected countries with eligible packages only.
To vote on the website, mobile site and the app, the audience will register with their name, surname, year of birth, gender, location and cell phone number before or during the voting round.
